RECENT PRESS

June 14, 2008 - Six Months From Never

Christopher is quoted in The Los Angeles Times making his prediction on what the real estate market will be like in the second half of 2008. He pulls no punches, doesn't give the typical Pollyanna-ish Realtor speech -- and gets it right: "There's no way the market is going to get better this year, it's always going to stink this year."

April 11, 2008 - How the Super-Rich Buy Homes

A well-connected agent can find a buyer by calling another luxury agent or wealthy client interested in a great off-market listing with unique characteristics. "Lots of really good stuff, you don't even need to put on the market," says Christopher Hain, real estate agent with Hollywood Hills (Calif.)-based Ramsey-Shilling. "Agents facilitate the deal because it allows them to do both ends of the deal."

April 11, 2008 - Where the Home Price Gaps Are Biggest

Christopher Hain, a real estate agent with Ramsey-Shilling Associates in the Hollywood Hills, says homes of $10 million or more are in short supply in the Los Angeles area. In Beverly Hills, house prices at the lower end of the market -- that is, $1 million or so -- are much weaker than the top of the market, he says. "I'm working on three developments: $5 million homes in Brentwood, $6 million homes in Beverly Hills, and $27 million homes in Bel Air," he said. "Which one am I most confident in? The $27 million development. I know they're going to sell because there will be nothing compared to it."

March 13, 2008 - New FHA Loan Limits and You

So you're finally ready to buy. For those of you, who care, numbers are being spit out and they're good. You can now get a much bigger loan ... And Chris Hain adds that this an even better time to buy a duplex or triplex or fourplex and he provides you with tables to show you why.

January 24, 2008 - Broker Blog Wrap

Sure foreclosures are hitting most of LA, but the glorious Westside (wherever that is) is doing swell. Terra Firma LA recommends ignoring the headlines and digging for the truth: "But as I like to say, reading the L.A. Times won't tell you anything about the real estate market in your neighborhood -- and that's especially true for L.A.'s Westside."

March 5, 2008 - How to Sell Fast in Today's Market

COMING SOON

Christopher will appear as a real estate expert on the new HGTV show, "Good Buy/Bad Buy." The show debuts on HGTV on Monday, June 30th.
